REVEALED: The Reason For Mesut Ozil’s Poor Display v Man Utd

By on November 11, 2013

It seems Per Mertesacker and Tomas Rosicky weren’t the only players who were suffering from illness on Sunday with Germany boss Joachin Low confirming today that Mesut Ozil has been told to stay at home with flu.

Per Mertesacker and Tomas Rosicky both missed our 1-0 defeat to United on Sunday after being ruled out with flu and there were reports that Mikel Arteta and two unnamed players were also not feeling 100%, but declared themselves fit to start.

It turns out Mesut Ozil was one of those also affected which goes a long way to explaining why he was so poor yesterday. He hasn’t been great for the last few games but he was particularly bad on Sunday so I knew there had to be a reason for it.

The playmaker rightly drew criticism for his performance but it turns out he was also sick and is now a doubt to play for his country against Italy on Friday after he and Mertesacker were ordered to stay back in London instead of meeting up with the rest of the Germany squad:

What would be the cause of This illness?

Its that time of the season for the players, where they know theyre going to drop down the table. Thats why Ozil, Mertsacker and co are feeling unwell so they dont have to be part of yet another failed season.

Sorry about that, the real reason was that the prospect of facing Phil Jones sent them on their periods.

So we had more first team players out injured than any other Prem side, two players go sick on the day and three other players in the team who were unwell. Since David Moyes said it was Man U’s best game of the season, it makes Man U’s 40% possession, inferior passing success rate, inferior territorial advantage and two shots on target (one of which was a ‘header’ which came of RVP’s shoulder) even more pathetic than we first thought. On that basis, the only London teams you’ll be fighting it out with this season are Palace and Fulham.

This i must say its difficult for any one not to blive cos d poor form was obvious but stil we shouldn’t attribute our failure to a flimsy xcuse like this. Plus i noticed our players were scared to their pantes. I was damn disapointed cos manure are full of average player.

So you use one example as proof. What about the countless amount of people who are stuck in bed trying to get over the flu.
      Basketball is a different sport.
      1. You use your hands for the most part.
      2. You have a very small court, thus you don’t have to cover much ground.
      3. You have many times outs that you can you use to rehydrate yourself.

So, that example doesn’t line up.

yeah you’re right, basketballs a walk in the park.
i’m not saying playing the game would have been easy for him. it’s just things like this in sport that separate the boys from the men.. the goods from the greats

please don’t relates the defeat with such stupid reason bse the team was better than man utd in the second half . the problem is that the arsenal players are already defeated psychologically before the game was started
this is not only that day i have seen while arse plays with the top club except Liverpool. so please the manager and the staff try to do on this matter. please arsen wenger involev in market transaction to have good striker

What was really obvious in that match against Manure was that the players really got switched off especially in the first half. Perhaps the flu of a thing was real. But then, it was very clear that Martesacker and Rosicky were sorely missed especially after they have gelled in the two previous matches against Liverpool and Dortmund. I personally believe the defeat will encourage them to up their game and achieve more. Let’s wait and see how the league’s table looks like in January.

Ozil is top class. Its his first season and injuries and illness had us with a solid first team unavailable and we still held it up. In a few weeks we will have key players back and then we will see the real arsenal that can rip teams apart. I new cb an nippy striker would be needed to push for the title

You all that are against Ozil should keep quiet. Who is Phil Jones that ozil shud be afraid of. His name is Jones and he is jonzing. A for one can dribble the star out of him.Arsenal played Man U like PS during the second period so.

The (Arsenal) had prayers with tired legs aft 2 back to back tough games…They r dengerous this czon though coz they’ve matured players unlike in the past.they r strong title contenders this year…u shud know that Ozil can’t play well in each n evry game.
