The Arsenal players have been stepping-up their pre-season preparations at London Colney today after winning our first friendly 8-0 at the weekend.

The boys thrashed Boreham Wood at Meadow Park on Saturday afternoon with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scoring a hat-trick while the likes of Alexandre Lacazette, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Reiss Nelson also got on the score-sheet.

Unai Emery reportedly had the squad back on the training pitch immediately after the game for what was probably just a warm-down session but the players were back at it full-pelt today.

Our new boss has been working the players hard in pre-season and with the opening Premier League match against Manchester City less than four weeks away, the squad is now stepping-up their pre-season preparations.

Our latest signing, Matteo Guendouzi, got 20 minutes under his belt during the win over Boreham Wood and the midfielder was looking to impress the coaching staff as he tussled with Shkodran Mustafi on the training pitch today.

Bernd Leno wasn’t selected at the weekend but no doubt he’ll be hoping to make his non-competitive debut during Thursday’s friendly against Atletico Madrid on the first leg of our Singapore tour.

Mesut Ozil is yet to return to training following his exploits at the World Cup but it’s been confirmed the German playmaker will travel with the rest of the squad to Asia later this week.

Bonaroca:- Have been following Arsenal news for quite a time now and am impressed by the system the Arsenal Coach Mr Emery has now introduced. Personally I was apprehensive of all those new signing being foreigners, but at least his system to give the academy players a chance to compete with their elders particularly those who are 30 years & over.

Now, I could say that the Arsenal Board are really looking for a big future
    for the Club.
