The likes of Cesc Fabregas, Robin van Persie, Tony Adams and Jack Wilshere have been paying tribute to Arsene Wenger after he announced he’ll be leaving Arsenal at the end of the season.

Amid mounting pressure from the Arsenal fans following another disappointing domestic campaign, Wenger announced in a shock statement on Friday morning that he’s leaving this summer.

A growing number of supporters have become disillusioned under Wenger and we’ve seen the Emirates half empty during recent home games so the writing was on the wall.

There has also been speculation circulating that members of the board also feel it’s time for change and no doubt it all played a part in Wenger’s decision to end his 22 year reign in north London.

Tributes have been flooding in from players and managers all around the globe with several past and present Arsenal players also taking to social media to share their thoughts on Wenger’s decision.

The likes of Fabregas, van Persie, Adams, Kanu, Lauren, Bacary Sagna, and Ray Parlour have all posted heartfelt messages while current players like Wilshere, Aaron Ramsey, Hector Bellerin, Mohamed Elneny, Per Mertesacker and Alex Iwobi have also posted tributes to the boss.
