Arsene Wenger has confirmed a triple injury boost ahead of Arsenal’s Europa League clash with AC Milan but Shkodran Mustafi has emerged as a doubt for the game.

We got back to winning ways in the Premier League today with a 3-0 victory over Watford at the Emirates but there were concerns over Mesut Ozil after he appeared to be limping in the second half.

Ozil looked in pain after taking a kick to his ankle but managed to complete the full ninety minutes and Wenger has confirmed the German playmaker is okay, so should be fit to face Milan.

The boss also provided a positive update on Hector Bellerin after revealing that the right-back could be available on Thursday night after missing the last two games with a knee injury.

In a triple boost, Wenger also confirmed that Nacho Monreal could be in contention to take on Milan after returning to light training late last week following three games out with a back injury.

However, there wasn’t such good news on Mustafi as the centre-back has emerged as a doubt for the crucial Europa League clash after picking up a groin injury this afternoon.

Mustafi was forced off in the second half against Watford and will now be assessed by the clubs medical staff tomorrow to determine the full extent of the injury.

Wenger told Arsenal.com:

on Mesut Ozil’s ankle…
It looks alright. We have one problem and that’s Mustafi, who had to come off.

on Shkodran Mustafi’s injury…
It’s a groin problem. We don’t know how bad. They told me they have to check tomorrow.

on Hector Bellerin’s injury…
Bellerin is in quite a good way.

on whether Hector may return against Milan…
He could be available for Thursday, yes. And Monreal as well.

It will be a huge boost to have Bellerin and Monreal back on Thursday as they’re our first choice full-backs and will make a huge difference against Milan if they are able to start.

We’ll have to wait and see how serious Mustafi’s injury is but I hope Rob Holding is the man to replace him if he’s ruled out as he put in a solid display this afternoon.
