[Photos] Arsenal handed double injury boost as duo train ahead of Liverpool game
Arsenal have been handed a double injury boost as ahead of Friday’s clash with Liverpool after Francis Coquelin and Alex Iwobi took part in training today.
There were question marks over Coquelin after he limped off during the closing stages of our League Cup quarter final win over West Ham in midweek with an apparent injury problem.
Arsene Wenger hoped after the game it was only cramp and it seems that turned out to be the case as Coquelin was able to take part in full training with the rest of the squad today.
Iwobi was also a slight doubt after limping off during our 1-0 victory over Newcastle United last weekend but thankfully it wasn’t serious as the midfielder was also out on the training pitches at London Colney today.
However, there was no sign of Olivier Giroud as the striker is set for a spell on the sidelines with a hamstring injury that he sustained against West Ham on Tuesday night.
Giroud will join Aaron Ramsey on the treatment table as the Welsh midfielder is also nursing a hamstring problem while obviously Santi Cazorla is still out with a long-term Achilles injury.

Nice one but I don’t see Arsenal winning this this game though. A draw looks more likely
