[Tweet] Arsenal star hints he’ll start against Red Star Belgrade
Jack Wilshere has posted a message on Twitter that hints he’ll feature during Arsenal’s Europa League group stage clash with Red Star Belgrade tomorrow evening.
The players have flown-out of London to Serbia this afternoon ahead of our Group H game after taking part in their final training session at London Colney and it seems Wilshere is on the plane.
Wilshere is yet to make a single appearance in the Premier League for Arsenal since recovering from his latest leg fracture but did start our last Europa League game having also played in the League Cup.
The 25-year-old put in a hugely impressive performance during our 4-2 win at BATE Borisov three weeks ago and it looks as though Wilshere is now set to be given another chance to impress against Red Star tomorrow.
The midfielder took to Twitter this afternoon to post a message saying he’s ‘ready’ for the game on Thursday evening and vowed to see the fans over in Serbia.
We’ll have to wait and see whether Arsene Wenger chooses to start Wilshere as Aaron Ramsey and Francis Coquelin are now fit and available for selection having recovered from their respective injuries.
However, I’d be surprised if we didn’t see Jack start as it’s another good opportunity for him to get some minutes under his belt.
Here’s what he posted on Twitter earlier:
