Video: Arsenal 1-0 Doncaster: Walcott scores as sloppy Gunners limp in to 4th round
Theo Walcott scored the only goal of the game as Arsenal limped in to the fourth round of the League Cup with a 1-0 win over Doncaster tonight.
After missing a few decent chances, we finally got on the scoresheet when Alexis Sanchez found Theo Walcott’s run with a superb ball over the top and Theo kept cool to fire home for 1-0 in the 25th minute.
Walcott should have put the game to bed in the second half but missed a great chance when clear through but he wasn’t the only one as we were wasteful in front of goal.
That meant it was a nervy finish as Doncaster pushed for an equalsier but we hung on to book our place in the fourth round with a poor 1-0 win.
