Alexandre Lacazette was understandably all smiles as he met some of his new Arsenal team mates after completing his club record move from Lyon today.

After weeks of negotiations, Lacazette flew in to London to complete his medical on Tuesday after we had reached an agreement with Lyon over his signature this summer.

The 26-year-old completed his medical tests and was finally unveilled as an Arsenal player earlier this evening after we confirmed his arrival on Arsenal.com.

The club didn’t reveal the fee but Lyon did confirm on their website that we’ve paid £46.5m [€53m] up front with the fee rising to £52.6m [€60m] including add ons, so he becomes our most expensive every signing.

Lacazette has now been meeting some of his new team mates at London Colney with photos emerging of him with Per Mertesacker, Danny Welbeck and Francis Coquelin.

The striker has also been posing for photos in his new Arsenal kit around the training ground while he was snapped with boss Arsene Wenger after signing his new five-year contract.

Lacazette is expected to travel with the squad for our pre-season tour of Australia next week and make his home debut during the Emirates Cup later this month.

Here are some further photos of our new man!
