Arsenal have been handed a major injury boost with Alexis Sanchez able to take part in full training today ahead of Tuesday night’s Premier League clash with Sunderland.

Sanchez limped out of Saturday night’s 4-1 win over Stoke City after picking up a thigh injury just minutes before scoring the third goal at the Bet365 Stadium.

Arsene Wenger confirmed at his pre-match press conference this morning that Alexis was a doubt for tomorrow’s game and would need a late fitness test.

It looks as though the Chilean superstar is winning his fitness fight as Sanchez has been photographed taking part in training with the rest of the squad at London Colney this afternoon.

I personally hope we don’t risk Sanchez from the start as we should be able to beat Sunderland at home without him and we’ve got the FA Cup final to think about, but obviously it’s good news he isn’t badly injured.

However, there was no sign of Laurent Koscielny so it looks as though the French international could miss out against Sunderland due to a calf injury that he initially picked up against Man Utd.

The boss revealed earlier that Koscielny was a doubt to face the Black Cats after aggravating the problem at the weekend so is looks like we’ll be forced in to at least one change at the back.
