Team news: Wenger offers injury update on Oxlade-Chamberlain
Arsene Wenger has been speaking to the media this morning and he’s offered a team news update ahead of Wednesday night’s clash with Leicester City at the Emirates.
The boss was pleased to confirm that we didn’t suffer any fresh injury worries following Sunday’s FA Cup semi-final win over Manchester City at Wembley.
There were concerns over the fitness of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain as he was seen limping after the game and was spotted leaving Wembley on crutches.
However, Wenger has played down any fears over the in-form midfielder after revealing that it was just a precaution after The Ox took a kick to his foot.
The 23-year-old will be assessed at London Colney today but the boss doesn’t believe Oxlade-Chamberlain has suffered any sort of serious injury that should keep him out of the Leicester game.
Wenger said:
What's the latest on the Ox, boss?
? “[Him leaving Wembley on crutches] was precautionary, it was not for a bad injury. We will test him." pic.twitter.com/44tK9LmP0D

The boss didn’t give any update on Shkodran Mustafi so we have to assume he’ll continue to miss out with a thigh injury while there was no further news on Lucas Perez or David Ospina either.
