Arsenal ready to sign midfielder, contract to be offered on Friday

By on April 6, 2017

According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal are ready to snap-up highly-rated Chilean midfielder Marcelo Allende after he impressed during recent trials with the club.

Allende has emerged as one of Chile’s hottest young talents in recent years and has already been starring for the under-17’s side having captained his country on a number of occasions.

The midfielder caught the attention of Arsenal’s South American scouts and spent two weeks on trial last year before returning for another trial where he trained with the first team at London Colney.

The Daily Mail claim Allende stayed with Alexis Sanchez during his short stint in the capital and has sought advice from his compatriot over what life is like living in England and playing in the Premier League.

The teenager is now back in Chile but the newspaper says that Arsenal are ready to offer him a contract when he turns 18 on Friday as FIFA rules state that we can’t sign foreign youngsters on professional deals until they reach 18.

Like Sanchez, Allende started his career at Chilean club Cobreloa and it looks as though he might now be about to follow his compatriot to the Emirates. Let’s just hope Alexis is around next season to help nurture the youngster!

Despite on-going doubts over his own future at the club, Arsene Wenger is pressing ahead with his summer transfer plans and the Daily Mail claim the boss sees Allende as a potential future star.

This guy is 5ft 4inches tall.Imho,he aint physically tough for
the English Physical League. I know Sanchez aint that tall eitr but
when there are others physically imposing players around, why go for him.
As for WHU game,Arsenal shd have at least one if not 2 penalties. The FA shd take take severe disciplinary action against errant officials
when its 100% a penalty shout.
