Teams: Arsenal v Watford: Gabriel/Giroud start, Welbeck left out
Arsenal have a great opportunity to close the gap on Chelsea when we take on Watford at the Emirates this evening.
Arsene has made ten changes from the side that beat Southampton with Gabriel preferred to Bellerin at right-back while Ramsey and Coquelin come in for Oxlade-Chamberlain and Maitland-Niles in midfield.
Iwobi, Ozil and Sanchez replace Walcott, Reine-Adelaide and Lucas in attack while Giroud leads the line with Welbeck not in the squad – presumably because he’s rested.
These are the teams:
Arsenal
Cech, Gabriel, Mustafi, Koscielny, Monreal; Coquelin, Ramsey; Iwobi, Ozil, Sanchez; Giroud.
Subs: Ospina, Bellerin, Maitland-Niles, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Lucas, Walcott.
Watford
Gomes; Cathcart, Kaboul, Prödl, Britos; Behrami; Janmaat, Cleverley, Capoue, Niang; Deeney
Subs: Arlauskis (GK), Mariappa, Mason, Watson, Doucoure, Success, Okaka.

2 down after 15 minutes and to add insult to injury,Monreal is booked for diving.I aint surprised at this .Watford’s smash and grab are paying off.
Arsenal always have a problem playing physical sides and it will end only when the fm leaves .His sterotype of pressing and obsession with ball possession and reluctance to shoot is heaven sent for counter attacksides..His claim of having more strikers will fall flat if the gunners fail to win not only against Watford but other teams.

At this rate don’t be surprised a gunner is sent off.The speed of attack is slow as stated many times. The 5-0 win is a distant memory.
Burnley showed the way and it remains to be seen whether the gunners
challenge all the way to May.
Gomex has been hardly troubled and will be so as long as the gunners try to weave away through a 12 men wall.
