Arsene wenger

Arsene Wenger will be looking to end his hoodoo against Jose Mourinho when he takes his Arsenal side to Old Trafford on Saturday lunchtime.

The boss is yet to record a single Premier League win against a side managed by Mourinho so let’s hope tomorrow is the day Arsene finally breaks that barren run.

We’ve slipped off the pace in the title race slightly after being held to a 1-1 draw at home to Tottenham before the international break with that result leaving us sitting fourth in the league and two points off leaders Liverpool.

Obviously it’s only a small gap and a win at Old Trafford would see us go top ahead of the Merseysiders trip to Southampton so hopefully the boys don’t bottle this chance to put the pressure on our title rivals.

Team News

Wenger will make a late decision over Sanchez after the striker suffered a hamstring injury while on international duty. He managed to come through 84 minutes – and score two goals – during Chile’s win over Uruguay on Tuesday so he should be in contention.

Bellerin will miss the game after being ruled out for a month with an ankle injury so Arsene has a huge void to fill. We have plenty of options but I think we’ll see Jenkinson coming in at right-back.

Cazorla remains out with an achilles injury so Xhaka should keep his place in midfield but I’d like to see Ramsey starting ahead of Coquelin.

As for United, they have some injury concerns with Bailly, Smalling, Valencia and Fellaini all set to miss the game tomorrow while Ibrahimovic is out through suspension.

However, Rooney has been passed fit after recovering from a minor knee injury while Shaw is also in contention.

Preferred line-up

As for United, their starting XI is expected to be: De Gea, Darmian, Jones, Rojo, Shaw, Herrera, Pogba, Mata, Rooney, Martial, Rashford.

Prediction

I think we’ve got a good chance of coming away with a positive result as United have looked average under Mourinho this season and they currently sit sixth in the division – six points behind us. However, we all know that we rarely perform well at Old Trafford and never get the rub of the green, so I think a draw is probably a more realistic outcome. Man Utd 1-1 Arsenal
