4-2-3-1 vs Swansea: The Arsenal team that should start on Saturday

granit xhaka arsenal

Arsenal will be looking to make it six Premier League wins on the spin when we take on Swansea at the Emirates on Saturday. This is the team I’d like to see Arsene Wenger go with….

Goalkeeper: Cech

Ospina will no doubt come back in for the Champions League game with Ludogorets next week but Cech should keep his place this weekend.

Defence: Bellerin, Mustafi, Koscielny, Monreal

There were fears Bellerin may have picked up a knock while away with the Spanish under-21’s last week after being forced off with an ankle problem but he recovered to play on Monday night so he should be fine to start tomorrow.

We have no other injury concerns at the back so I fully expect our first choice defence to be on show again with Mustafi alongside Koscielny in the middle of defence and Monreal at left back.

Midfield: Xhaka, Cazorla

Coquelin is back in contention after recovering from a knee injury that he suffered against Chelsea last month but I think the Frenchman will have to work hard to regain his place in the team.

Xhaka has been superb in Coquelin’s absence and I think the Swiss international deserves to keep his place alongside Cazorla in the middle of the park.

Ramsey remains out with a hamstring injury and isn’t expected back for the Ludogorets game either but Elneny will provide us another option from the bench.

Attack: Walcott, Ozil, Iwobi

Like many England players, Walcott wasn’t at his best during the international break but he’s been excellent for Arsenal so far this season so he deserves to keep his place on the right wing.

Iwobi has also been consistently good all campaign so he should continue on the left while Ozil has been declared fit after a minor fitness scare following his withdrawal at half-time during Germany’s win over Northern Ireland earlier this week.

Striker: Sanchez

Giroud remains out with a mysterious toe injury so Sanchez is going to once again lead the line up front and hopefully he can continue growing in to his new role.

This would be my line-up to face Swansea:
