Arsenal injury update: Latest on Ramsey, Cazorla & Wilshere
A well known Arsenal ‘In The Know’ has offered an update on the fitness of Jack Wilshere, Santi Cazorla and Aaron Ramsey.
Twitter user @AFCamden [Pablo] is well respected on the social networking site and has amassed over 40 thousand followers after ‘leaking’ plenty of well-informed information over the years.
Pablo had another update for us today with his club source revealing that Wilshere’s setback is only minor and the midfielder is looking to finally make his long-awaited comeback against either West Ham or Crystal Palace next month.
Reports last week claimed that Jack had suffered yet another blow in his recovery from a fractured fibula which has ruled him out for the entire season so far but it looks as though the 24-year-old is now closing in on making his first appearance of the campaign.
There was also an update on Ramsey’s recovery from a thigh injury which he picked up against Hull City earlier this month and it appears the Welsh international is still at least another two weeks from making his return to the first team.
That would mean we could have both Wilshere and Rambo available for selection when Palace come to the Emirates on Sunday 17th April, which would obviously be a huge boost as we head in to the title run-in.
However, there wasn’t such positive news on Cazorla as Pablo claims that the Spaniard has suffered a setback in his recovery from a knee injury that will see him remain on the sidelines until at least the end of April.
I think we’ve missed Cazorla greatly since he suffered the injury at the end of November so it’s a major blow if he will now be unavailable for the next four weeks as it means there’s a chance he could only play a maximum of two more games this season.
Here are the Tweets:
Told Wilshere's setback was only minor & is 'hoping to return for West Ham/Palace'. Cazorla's more serious, out till end of April at least.

Aaron Ramsey is at least another 2 weeks away, and even then I reckon they'll be cautious with him. #afc

Unbelievable the amount of injuries and the amount of set backs we have. Something has to be wrong with medicos (I thought we got a new lot of medicos in the off season, apparently they’re no better than the last lot) or the physios or the training methods. You can pretty much guarantee if we’re told 6-8 weeks, then the player will be out for at least 12-16 weeks, if they’re lucky. I was looking forward to seeing Santi play again.
…..come on Arsenal…..
