By on February 9, 2016

Reiss Nelson should certainly have made an impression on Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger after putting in an impressive display for the under-21’s last Friday.

Nelson is one of the most highly-rated youngsters to have come through our Hall End youth academy in recent years and really announced himself as a prospect after a superb performance against Bayern Munich U19’s last season.

The 16-year-old has continued to showcase his talents this year and once again enhanced his reputation within the club with another excellent performance for the U21’s against Brighton & Hove Albion.

Nelson opened the scoring with a fine finish in the 2nd minute before grabbing an assist for Krystian Bielik as the under-21’s eased to a 4-1 victory last Friday, with Arsene Wenger watching-on closely from the stands.

Nelson is certainly one player worth keeping a close eye on over the coming years and it won’t be long before he’s knocking on Wenger’s door for a call up to the first team if he carries on impressing for the youth sides.
