[Photos] Forgotten Arsenal star all smiles as he returns to training

By on January 29, 2016

Forgotten Arsenal star Danny Welbeck was all smiles as he returned to full first team training following over nine months on the sidelines.

Welbeck hasn’t been seen since suffering a knee injury against Chelsea way back in April 2015 and was ruled out for the foreseeable future after undergoing surgery in September.

However, Danny stepped-up his recovery by resuming full training earlier this week and we’ve now got photos of the attacker enjoying himself on the training pitch at London Colney this afternoon.

Welbeck won’t play any part in Saturday’s FA Cup clash with Burnley as he’s still lacking match fitness and Arsene Wenger is keen for him to play for the under-21′s next weekend.

But as long as everything goes smoothly and he doesn’t suffer any setbacks, then we should see him back in the first team fold in a couple of weeks.
