Arsenal to seal second January signing after Brother confirms move

By on January 27, 2016

Arsenal look set to wrap-up their second piece of January transfer business after the brother of Kelechi Nwakali confirmed the midfielder is set to complete his move to North London, according to the Metro.

Nwakali and his Nigerian under-17 international team mate Samuel Chukwueze have been strongly linked with moves to the Emirates this month with ESPN reporting two weeks ago that we’d agreed deals to sign the highly-rated duo.

Things have gone quiet in recent days and Chukwueze has been hotly tipped to move to Germany by some media outlets, but it looks like a deal for Nwakali is still on track.

According to the midfielder’s brother, Allwell, the 17-year-old is still very-much set for a move to the Emirates after claiming that his brother will complete his switch to Arsenal once he’s been granted a visa – which they are confident will be sorted out soon.

Allwell Nwakali is quoted as saying by the Metro:

‘I don’t think there’s anything to fear about the deal not going on as planned,’

‘Given the type of visa we applied for, we hope it will be available within the shortest possible time.

‘Don’t forget, there are always ways such transactions that are done, so I assure you we’ll get there. There are no threats whatsoever on Kelechi’s Arsenal move, this I assure you.

We’ve no worries at all as everything is moving according to plans.

‘Arsenal are known to have a good programme for young players. They develop young stars and enhance their careers.’

Nwakali attracted interest from a whole host of top European clubs after impressing during the FIFA U17 World Cup where they helped Nigeria lift the trophy in Chile last year.

The attacking central midfielder was named as player of the tournament at the U17 World Cup, so it would be something of a coup if we could lure him to North London.

Obviously he’s unlikely to make any immediate impact on the first team but he certainly sounds like a bright prospect so hopefully he can get his visa situation resolved over the coming days.

when game is going on and there is asubstitution and the player is wasting time, the refree should punish him with a redcard. That’s my suggestion.

We are not the Gooners….. We are the Mushrooms. A transfer is almost completed and Wenger still hasn’t informed us. We have to hear from the players brother. We are continually kept in the dark and fed s**t.
