Referees confirmed for Arsenal’s festive fixtures

By on December 15, 2015

The referees have been confirmed for Arsenal’s fixtures with Manchester City, Southampton, Bournemouth and Newcastle over the Christmas and New Year period.

We head into the festive games sitting second in the Premier League and just two points adrift of surprise leaders Leicester City so this is going to be a pivotal period in our title challenge.

The biggest test comes next Monday when we entertain Manchester City at the Emirates and Andre Mariner has been appointed as the man in the middle when the Citizens come to town.

We then head to the South Coast to take on Southampton on Boxing Day and Jonathan Moss will be the man in charge of the game at St Mary’s.

Our final game of 2015 sees us welcome newly-promoted AFC Bournemouth to the Emirates and Roger East has been selected as the match official for that match.

We then kick off the new year at home as we entertain Newcastle United on January 2nd and referee Anthony Taylor will be in charge at the Emirates.

Let’s hope we can maintain our title challenge over the coming weeks and the likes of Taylor or Mariner don’t derail things with some inept decisions.
