Arsenal eased to a 2-0 victory over Aston Villa at Villa Park to move top of the Premier League table this afternoon.

These are my ratings from the game:

Cech   6.5/10 – Didn’t have a lot to do in terms of shot-stopping. Got away with one hairy moment involving Per but got his clean sheet to equal the Premier League record.

Bellerin   7/10 – Always an option down the right wing and was solid enough at the back.

Mertesacker   7/10 – Marshalled the back four to another clean sheet. Comfortable afternoons work.

Koscielny   7/10 – Brought the ball out of defence on several occasions and was on hand to make some important clearances.

Monreal   6.5/10 – Villa got behind Nacho on a couple of occasions but otherwise he was solid.

Flamini   6.5/10 – Went about his business in the middle of the park but is such a limited player.

Ramsey   8/10 – Back among the goals with a clinical close range finish after starting and finishing the move. Involved in everything. Great performance.

Ozil   7.5/10 – Yet another assist. Most players who have shot when clean through but Ozil unselfishly squared it to Ramsey. Showed some ovely touches too.

Campbell   6/10 – Worked hard again but so reluctant to use his right foot, which hindered his impact.

Walcott   7.5/10 – His pace caused Hutton all sorts of problems. Won the early penalty and played a key role in the build-up for the second.

Giroud   7.5/10 – Made no mistake from the penalty spot to make it 1-0 and worked the line up front well. In great form right now.

Subs:

Gibbs 6/10 – On for Campbell and got into some decent situations but couldn’t find a finish.

The Ox 6.5/10 – Some good runs down the right but no end product or chose the wrong option.
