Koscielny & Gibbs Out: The Arsenal XI That Must Start v Man Utd

Arsenal will look to bounce back from Tuesday’s shock Champions League defeat when we entertain league leaders Manchester United at the Emirates on Sunday.

This is the starting eleven I think Arsene Wenger should pick.

Goalkeeper: Cech

Why on earth was Cech ‘rested’ in midweek? Ospina’s schoolboy error contributed greatly to our 3-2 defeat to Olympiakos and I hope Arsene has learned his lesson not to leave our No.1 out again for a big game.

Defence: Bellerin, Mertesacker, Gabriel, Monreal.

Gibbs was another who disappointed against the Greeks and he’s not doing enough to force his way past Monreal at left-back so the Spaniard should come back in for the United game.

Koscielny limped off on Tuesday with a hamstring problem and is almost certainly out of this game so Mertesacker is going to have to line-up alongside Gabriel and Bellerin at the back.

Midfield: Coquelin, Cazorla

Coquelin appears to have come through Tuesday’s match unscathed so should be fine to start on Sunday and Cazorla will play alongside him in the middle of the park. The Spaniard has been inconsistent of late but he’s vital to our game when we’re on form.

Attack: Walcott, Ozil, Ramsey, Sanchez

I really am not a fan of Ramsey playing on the right but The Ox isn’t taking his chances to impress when selected. His end product is poor and he has lapses in concentration when helping our in defence so Rambo is probably the better option against United.

Walcott continued his fine goal-scoring run with another strike in midweek so I’d certainly keep him in the team ahead of Giroud. Sanchez is back to his best so obviously he should start but I hope we see a better display from Ozil as he was disappointing against Olympiakos.

This is the side I’d go with and unusually, I also think it’s the eleven Arsene will pick on Sunday. With the exception of Koscielny – who’s going to be a huge miss – this is arguably the bosses preferred starting eleven. Let’s hope they don’t let us down….

Bonaroca:- There is no doubt that the team chosen chooses itself, but for me
there is one player and that is Casarola who from what I have seen seems to
slow up the game giving the chance to the opposing defender the chance to
close up which makes it difficult for the forwards to find a gap. This was
clear in the last EU Cup match at Highbury.

While Ozil actually give a high percentage of acquite passes CaSARLO

take out ozil, move cazorla into that position put ramsey back with coquelin and the ox on right,we will have a better defensive unit and a faster attacking front four without ozil who tends to slow the game against the better teams. One point that i would like to make is that what all the pundits say including
all ex arsenal players is arsenal won’t win so i suggest that it is
they that don’t believe and this is transferred to the players.so exarsenal players get positive or get stuffed
