Arsenal fans fuming after referee confirmed for Man Utd showdown

By on September 28, 2015

Anthony Taylor has been confirmed as the referee for Arsenal’s huge clash with Manchester United on Sunday, much to the disappointment of Gooners up and down the country.

The Premier League announced their match official line-ups for this coming weekend’s round of games and unfortunately we’ve been handed one of the worst refs in the division.

Taylor has a long history of making controversial calls against Arsenal with arguably his worst performance coming during the opening day of the 2013/14 season when he sent Laurent Koscielny off and awarded Aston Villa two highly contentious penalties during a 3-1 home defeat.

It was one of several poor performances while officiating an Arsenal game so it’s understandable that fans aren’t best pleased he’ll be in charge against the league leaders this weekend.

We have to beat United and with Taylor in charge, it feels like we’re already handicapped.¬†Even more-so considering Taylor is in fact from Greater Manchester!

Let’s hope for a change in ‘luck’ this weekend. An impartial ref can’t keep giving dubious decisions against us….can he?

So don’t be surprised the gunners lose not because of the rd but the ref’s decision. You never know. There are many ways a ref can help Mu win.
Elementary. In a 50/50 tangle the gunner could be sent off if not yellow carded. Thenthere are other ways like the balding ref in the 2004 50th game.Give a penalty against Campbell when it was clearly outside the box. Don’t believe me. Go and read the ref’s ananlysis by a dedicated gunner website. That’s why there’s a network of MU and their henchmen in the FA.
I tell you what. The FA want only and only MU to win the epl. Until Arsenal or any other club win the epl,I will have my doubts. That’s why they cant win the cl.

I know the game you’re referring to, it was actually in the box but Campbell didn’t make contact with Rooney, he took a dive. He also elected not to send Ferdinand off in that game when he body checked Freddy when he was through on goal.
The ref really was against us that day

ad, I am now 42yrs old and I am not bitter in anyway but, I have never forgotten that day when rooney just cheated and acted as though he was fouled and got a penalty to stop us going 50 games unbeaten. I have never really forgiven him for that and I did and still do blame Le Boss for not encourage our team to self indulge themselves in the dark arts. Too much nicey nicey with others while our players are taking a kick in. We have never got revenge for that or the massive defeat so I say STOP writing blogs about the REF. All it will do is generate negative vibes regarding the match and possibly give pre excuses. Utd are a completely dis-jointed mish mash of a team and we need to make a BIG STATEMENT by tearing them to bits and pieces limb from limb WITH or WITHOUT a decent ref. Come Out Fighting.

I don’t know who the ref was at the Spurs/MC game. Sufficient to say and his henchman, the linesman who didn’t flag for os when Spurs scored before ht,shd be reprimanded and demoted. There were other errors. as well.Too many errant refs and lm are getting away with murder.I don’t know if the FA only want MU to win the epl every year, but games shd be decided by the footballers and not mo.
No wonder MU for all their dominance could not lord it over in the cl.
    Is it a coincidence?

The referee in the Spurs – City match was Mark Clattenburg. He wasn’t the one at fault – but yes, the officials didn’t have a great day. The first goal of the match – scored by De Bruyne – was offside as well. If they had disallowed all offside goals, it would’ve ended up 2-0 to Spurs.

Ad,is it surprising that during the rf’s time they were winning the title every other year.It is thanks to the refs.
I tell you what. The rf’s greatest ambition was to dominate the cl if not win it every year or every other year.
Thankfully the cl refs aint biased . That’s why he has to be content to play not 2nd or 3rd fiddle. He has to be satisfied with a distant 4th.
I will be satisfied if he just goes and enjoys his golf. I am sick and tired of reading his comments .

With Mike Riley who is a staunch Man Utd supporter and often seen in VIP box at Old Trafford in charge of referees what can you expect? A very poor referee himself in the past now in charge of PYGMOL with no accountability whatsoever he does what he likes ie. supporting his Man Utd team. The fact Arsenal gets worst luck with referees is no coincidence. Nobody talks about it because there is no corruption in football in this country, oh no. Italy oh yeah but not here. We have all been taken for a ride and nobody does anything about it.

the same people complaining about FIFA run our football,
does that give anyone a clue as to why refs have nothing
to fear from making selfish decisions, (they say bad decisions).
just look at mcnairs challenge on wilthshire who is still out
in a game they had one shot on goal and won 1-2.
