Sanchez Update: Wenger Eases Fears Over Knee Injury
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has played down the significance of the knee injury Alexis Sanchez picked up against Leicester City.
Sanchez suffered a knock to his left knee after receiving a heavy tackle from former Gunner Matthew Upson midway through the first half of our 2-1 win last night.
The Chilean international soldiered on after getting treatment from the physio but you could tell he was still in some discomfort.
Despite Wenger’s best attempts to try and take him off at half-time, Alexis insisted he was fit to carry on but was eventually substituted in the 68th minute after continuing to struggle after the break.
The boss told Arsenal.com immediately after the game that he wasn’t sure how serious the problem was and the player himself appeared to suggest on Twitter last night that he had made the injury worse by carrying on.
However, Arsene has now played down the injury after being quoted as telling the Mirror newspaper that the injury ‘does not look bad’:
“Alexis Sanchez does not look bad, a kick on the knee.”
I’m sure the club will be carrying out further tests today but let’s hope it turns out to be nothing serious as losing Sanchez is the last thing we need with big games coming up in the league, FA Cup and Champions League.

Sanchez is so important 4 arsenal now, with the run of games at hand. He might be arsenal’s savour 4 top four. Arsenal players seems fatic is playing on them seriously and Wenger should be wise to manage them or top four will be a problem and monaco may take over the champions league celebration party.
