Arsenal Handed HUGE Boost As Star Looks Set For Early Injury Return
Arsenal have been handed a timely injury boost with Jack Wilshere set to return to full training in just two weeks.
Wilshere has been on the sidelines since injuring his left ankle against Manchester United in late November and was initially not expected back until some time in March.
However, Arsene Wenger confirmed last month that Jack was progressing quicker than expected and now the Telegraph are reporting that the 23-year-old is due to return to full training inside two weeks.
That means Jack should be back on the training pitch by the end of January, which will be great news.
You’d think he’ll need to get at least two weeks training under his belt before he’ll be considered for a first team return so the Telegraph’s claim fit’s in with Arsene’s time-frame of Wilshere being back by the end of February.
He told Arsenal.com today:
on Wilshere (ankle)…
He’s doing very well. He’s a bit ahead of schedule. He should be alright by the end of February.
As long as he doesn’t suffer any set-back when he returns to training, there’s a slight chance that Wilshere could be in contention for the fifth round of the FA Cup on February 14th if we make it past Brighton. Failing that, he should be in the squad for the Crystal Palace clash the following week.
Jack’s return will be a timely one as Mikel Arteta has been ruled out for up to three months with his own ankle injury.
