Arsenal Agree Personal Terms With The ‘Next Patrick Vieira’

By on December 16, 2014

Some interesting developments on the future of Krystian Bielik today with reports in Poland claiming that Arsenal have now agreed personal terms with the defensive midfielder.

The Bielik-to-Arsenal rumours kicked off last week when it was claimed the 16-year-old had travelled to London to hold talks with Arsene Wenger about a potential move to the Emirates.

Then speculation over the weekend suggested that we were closing in on a deal after tabling a bid worth £1.6m to his current club, Legia Warsaw.

It’s not clear if they have now accepted our offer, but the Daily Star claimed yesterday that we had taken a huge step closer to securing his signature after persuading his parents that a move to Arsenal was best for their sons future.

Now, it appears the deal is almost complete as reports in Poland on Tuesday afternoon stated that we have now agreed personal terms with Bielik worth just £104,000-per-year.

That sounds like a ridiculously low salary in today’s footballing world, but it’s actually a 400% pay-rise on what he currently earns in Poland and I’m sure he’ll quickly move up the pay grades if he’s successful at Arsenal. Plus, he’s still only 16.

It’s thought Arsenal are pushing for a deal to be completed in January, but the players parents would prefer he waits until the summer and sees out the rest of the season with Legia Warsaw.

Bielik and his family have been invited by the club to watch Arsenal play QPR on Boxing Day and I’m sure we’ll try and take the opportunity to get a deal resolved once and for all. Whether that will be for January or the summer remains to be seen, but all the signs are that Bielik will be heading to the Emirates in the near future.

Despite his tender years, Bielik already stands at 6ft 2ins and is powerfully built for his age, so it’s no surprise he’s been likened to a certain Patrick Vieira by some corners of the media.

He’s obviously not the established defensive midfielder we all want the club to sign in January but he’s highly-rated and looks to have a bright future ahead of him, so let’s hope we can secure his signature as it would be something of a coup.

Then Arsene can get working on bringing in a top class centre-back and holding midfielder!

But will that stubborn old goat bring anyone in? He is getting more and more senile now to even understand why everyone else sees what they see on the pitch except him!

I pity for the young boy if he is signed by Arsene. Who is he gonna learn from? Arteta and Flamini. It makes me laugh.

Actually, Arsenal offered Gilberto Silva a coaching job if he decides to retire from football, and he’s currently a 38-year-old free agent, so he might, considering he only made 9 appearances since 2013. Gilberto played in all but 6 matches in the unbeaten season and was Viera’s partner as our CDM, and also played as a back up CB. If he joined our coaching staff, CDMs could learn a hell of a lot. I’m more worried about the fact that our medical staff are brutal. If we got in a 16 year-old like this guy, we could potentially ruin his career because of poor medical staff, which sucks really, because a top class sports physio’s wage is only about 350k a year, which is only like 3 times the amount we’d be paying this kid, and in reality it could save us a lot of injuries. Why do you think Costa gets a hamstring injury and is out for a week, but when Ramsey gets one, he’s out for a month? It’s all down to medical staff, and it’s costing us every season.
I think we should buy Carvalho, though. He’s should cost about £20m, is a pretty good CDM at the moment (he’s only 22, so he can only get better), and can also play as a CB if we need him. Then get a pre-contract with Fabian Schar whose contract runs out in the summer, or buy Howedes in the Summer. With Carvalho, we’d have Debuchy, Kos, Per, and Gibbs as our normal back four, with Carvalho and Chambers as back up CBs, Bellerin and Chambers as back up RBs and Monreal / Flamini as back up LBs. (Flamini’s career began at LB and he was moved into CDM by Wenger, and covered for Ashley Cole at LB for a few weeks).
We realistically don’t have the cash to buy both a top class CDM and a top class CB in January, but with a mix of January and Summer, we should be able to get both, and get rid of the rest of the deadwood.

I no longer trust wenger, no mata what. ..I strongly think we need a desperate manager dt can easily fill in any weak area in d squad when d need arises. Wenger is not ready 2 buy even when everyone think so he, is very stubborn, arrogant n adamant. And wld only keep doing d same thing n achieving d same results until d end of time. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. OUT NOW WENGER B4 U GO IN PIECES.

The young boy is a perfect buy but to comment on wenger. He has forgotten the basics of football. His plans are for the games he has not played and I am sorry to think our manager does not trust the players he has. So just to add my voice. Wenger and his board have no respect for fans
