Midfield Powerhouse Admits He’s “Flying To London” For Arsenal Talks

By on December 10, 2014

Highly-rated midfielder Krystian Bielik has revealed that he’s set to fly in to London for talks with Arsenal about a potential January move to the Emirates.

The Bielik to Arsenal rumours emerged on Monday after it was widely reported that we had opened talks with Legia Warsaw over a deal for the 16-year-old starlet.

Legia’s president admitted that they would find it tough to hang on to the teenager so were open to offers, and the newspapers suggested a possible fee being in the region of €2m.

Bielik has now confirmed that he’s set to travel to London to hold talks with Arsenal but has still not decided what the best move for him is at this stage of his career.

When quizzed by reporters about interest from Arsenal, the youngster said:

“I’m flying to London. I have to think about it, I still do not know what decision I make.”

“I have to decide what will be best for me.

“For now, however, I focus on the games for Legia.” Source

It’s thought that Arsene Wenger has made his move for the defensive midfielder after having the player scouted on numerous occasions in recent months.

Despite his tender years, Bielik already stands at 6ft 2ins and is powerfully built for his age, so it’s no surprise he’s been likened to a certain Patrick Vieira by some corners of the media.

Who knows if he’ll go on to achieve a fraction of what Paddy did in his career but it appears we’re leading the chase for his signature and could tie up a deal in January if we’re able to persuade him Arsenal is the best place to continue his development.

Obviously Bielik isn’t the world class holding midfielder Arsenal fans are hoping the club will sign this winter, as he’s clearly ‘one for the future’, but even if we do land the teenager I’d still expect Wenger to be on the look-out for a more established name in January.
