Arsenal ‘Open Talks’ With Agent Of €30m Attacker – Report

By on April 27, 2014

Arsenal have make contact with the agent of Antoine Griezmann after making the €30m-rated attacker one of their top summer transfer targets, according to reports.

Arsene Wenger confirmed on Friday night that he’ll be staying on as Arsenal boss next season and it seems he’s already started making plans to strengthen his squad.

At least one striker/attacker is expected to be signed this summer and Goal claim the boss has opened talks with the agent of Griezmann about a potential move to the Emirates after scouting the Real Sociedad ace extensively in recent months.

The 23-year-old has been in excellent form in La Liga this season, scoring 16 goals in 31 games, and is capable of playing anywhere across the front three positions so would give us plenty of options in attack.

The France international is known for his pace and dribbling skills, and obviously knows where the goal is, so I think he’d be an excellent addition. Without Walcott in the team, we lack any pace an penetration from the wings so Griezmann would fill that void nicely and his versatility would be a huge asset.

He still has two years left on his current deal and it’s thought it will take a bid in the region of €30m (around £25m) to persuade Sociedad to cash in this summer, but we could also face stiff competition from the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool, PSG and a host of other clubs who have also been linked.

Frenchmen and just MORE Frenchmen from Wenger!!!!! As though we have had not enough of the modern day Frenchmen like Giroud and Co. with their histrionics on the pitch and their Wenger quality which just fizzles out into nothingness after one season. Bring in some REAL quality and discard Wenger’s quality and Wenger as manager then maybe we will return to the GREATNESS of the past.

Gunman, please READ what I have stated regarding French players. The emphasis in that sentence is on MODERN DAY FRENCH PLAYERS.

modern day french players that have got us into the champions league, season after seaon.albiet not giving us the champion team we need, but given on a budget i think arsenal done well, with players like ozil and walcott around giroud he performed well,so the comment of fizzling out carries no weight, without injuries this season we would be where liverpool are now,and the injuries must be blamed on wenger, the overuse of players and not enough cover.

Arsenal is linked to almost every player out there and end up buying no one. Arsenal needs to really challenge other teams in the transfer market else Arsene can continue to develop his young guns

All we need are world class players for once. Wenger should give us a strong bench to overcome our yearly injury problem that alway rob us of trophies. Wenger!!! Go and spend on quality players, we want to be champions of Europe next season.

SEEMS LIKE WE ALREADY FORGOTTEN WHAT THINGS WENGER DID AT ARSENAL,STARTING WITH AMAZING STADIUM AND ALSO ARSENAL ARE FINANCIALLY STABLE NOW BECAUSE OF HIM.HE ALWAYS SELL OUR BEST PLAYERS SO WE COULD EARN SOME CASH AND NOT EVEN ONCE WENGER FAIL TO BOOK FOR 4TH SPOT.IT IS THE ONLY CLUB THAT PLAYS UEFA EVERY SEASON.ARSENAL FINISHED TWO SEASONS UNBEATED.WENGER LIKE TO SIGN FRENCH PLAYERS BECAUSE THEY ARE GOOD PLAYES AND THEY HAVE FIGHTING CHARACTER WITH THE LIKES OF KING HENRY,VIERA,BENZEMA,BLAISE MATUIDI,CABAYE,POGBA,GIROUD,MATHIEU FLAMINI,NASRI,GREIZMAN ETC… YOU WILL SEE THAT FRENCH PLAYES DESERVE TO PLAY ARSENAL,SO LETS NOT CROSS THE BOUNDARY AND WE HAVE TO LEAVE WENGER ALONE HE KNOWS WHAT HE IS DOING.IN WENGER WE TRUST lol xxx…

After some couple of winnings against small teams, Most of Arsenal fans are now agitating for wenger to stay. They forgot the humiliation against big teams a while ago. The fact is, we need changes so Wenger must go for a Younger coach to take over. Look@ Diego Simone in ATM, how much does he spend yearly?yet he made the team a force to be re corn with.

I can smell alot ov hatred,,jus leave wenger alone…he has broughts us this far with a weak team, we jus need to allow him to sign quality to the team moreso in the striking part of the squad by providing him wit enuf cash.
Take it slow on wenger guys.

    Haven’t we got enough players?
Surely we have players good enough to play premier league already at Arsenal.
We always seem to buy young stars who at most only get to play a few games and those are in lesser competitions.
Are these players bought for onward selling at a later date I wonder – a supposed investment?
I think somewhere at the club must be a player with amazing potential who is awaiting his chance.
Come on Mr Wenger dispense with the homespun platitudes. Make it your new seasons resolution not to buy anyone and back the players you already have.
Carlos Vela at least deserves a 6 game run.

Its amazing why people called ur opinion hatred. Arsenal is our team, all u pro wenger should be ashamed of not faciing the fact its time for him to step down. Its not a matter of buying big players cos we have. Its about his style of play. He can’t change pattern to cope with different opposition like morinho does. Imaging if we get draw away to utd, city, eveton, chesea, stoke,Liv,

I can bet it with anybody that wenger can’t stay beyond 1 or 2 season in any big club in europe, cos most of this teams will give u any players u want so, if u fail no excuse. That’s why Wenger will like to die in Arsenal cos of his job security. The quality in Arsenal is enough to beat any team in the word if a better N mordern day coach handles it. Wenger go N let some 1 else continue.
