VIDEO: Arsenal 3-1 West Ham: Lethal Podolski Hits Double

By on April 15, 2014

Arsenal had to come from behind to finally beat West Ham 3-1 on Tuesday night to move back up to fourth place in the Premier League.

The visitors took the lead when Javis headed home from close range but we got the vital equaliser just before half time when Cazorla found Podolski who smashed home into the bottom corner.

Olivier Giroud, who’d been getting some stick up until this point, then silenced his critics with a sublime goal showing a great touch before firing home for 2-1.

The game was then wrapped up when Aaron Ramsey’s header found Podolski who fired home his second and our third to seal a 3-1 win that moves us back up to fourth ahead of Everton’s game against Crystal Palace tomorrow.

Lukas Podolski is a sublime player. His crosses are fascinating and finishing even better. He has fantastic attitude and he will be very very very effective in a 3-5-2 as a CF(Centre-forward). And Giroud missed two sitters in the first half. But I hve to give my hats off to him. His goal was outstanding. His touch was delicate and his finish precise. His second half performance was very gd. I hve to give him credit when its due. The same goes with santi cazorla. Fantastic game today. Rosicky juz came back after an injury and had a slow performance. Kallstrom tried his best but showed he Is past his best. Koscielny Mertesacker and Vermealen were very gd. Sagna was very poor. He plays suicidal football at times. Arteta didn’t hve much to do. But held his position well. Ramsey showed the dynamism while goin forwrd which we hve missed in the second half of the season. His header to set up Podolski was outstanding. Great to have him back. And with a couple of first team players to come back. We will do very well.

Sagna for me was nt up to the mark. He is quite decent goin forward but he ignores his responsibilities as a defender. He let matt jarvis get in one on one situations with Mertesacker regularly. Its safe to say Matt Jarvis easily got the better of Mertesacker. And then Sagna drops off to sleep when West Ham scored. His job is to mark Matt Jarvis and he failed miserably to do so. That’s suicide from Sagna. West ham dropped off the pace in the second half,so Sagna should consider himself lucky. He has been arsenals loyal servant for a long time. But he has also cost us a lot of games because of his obsession to attack. He is technically naïve and for me isn’t the appropriate RB at all. Mr Wenger plz change ur formation to a 3-5-2. Its best for the team.

Arsenal showed great fighting spirit today. I’m very happy. But the thing I don’t understand is why do they hve to go 1-0 down in order to pick up the pace. Its hilarious. We hve to play with urgency from the start of the game. When I say urgency I mean a logical and attacking way to play.

According to me Lukas Podolski is an integral part of the team. He is fantastic. I hve supported him all the way and I believe he is an integral part of the team. I agree with what Ian Wright said. I don’t know why Podolski doesn’t start more matches. He deserves the start and a new one year extension contract. Play him as a CF and he will knock in goals regularly. Podolski,Vermealen and cazorla have to stay. I feel cazorla has a lot more to offer to Arsenal. But these players have to stay for sure. And they will work well in a 3-5-2 formation.
