Top Arsenal Target ‘Definitely’ Not Heading To North London

By on April 1, 2014

Top Arsenal target Julian Draxler will ‘definitely’ be staying at Schalke this summer, according to the clubs general manager Horst Heldt.

You should all know Draxler’s name by now as he’s been strongly linked with a move to Arsenal in recent transfer windows, with the club reportedly close to signing him back in January.

A deal failed to materialise when we couldn’t agree a fee but Arsene is almost certainly going to renew his interest in the summer, when he’s expected to have as much as £100m available to spend.

However, Schalke chief Horst Heldt is adamant Draxler will resist any move away from the club in order to remain at the Veltins Arena.

“I definitely believe that he will be staying at our club for the new season.

Draxler is going to be hot-property this summer and Arsenal won’t be the only top club interested, so despite Heldt’s comments, I think the 20-year-old will move on at the end of the season.

Will he come to Arsenal? I really hope so, but as ever the sticking point is going to be the purchase price. Arsene baulked at his £37m asking price in January but I really don’t think Schalke will accept anything lower unless the midfielder really pushes for a move – which is unlikely considering he’s a Schalke boy through and through – so if we want him, we’re going to have to pay big money.

Both costa and hulk r physical players. They r not gonna get bullied on the pitch. I wudnt mind spending 35-40 million pounds on costa or hulk.

Raul – you wanting Hulk means you’ve obviously never seen this overrated guy play regularly.
Baptista was a a big physical player too and he could not cut it here. Hulk is worse, terrible shots to goals ratio for club & country. Very average player like a S.American Heskey. Costa has had one good season and 5 average ones/. Fans just say whatever the tabloids talk about. They need to grow a pair and make their own decisions.

True to that yawn. But the hulk is unhappy at zenit. His stats for porto was impressive. Nd in the champs league for zenit. He is their main scored. To be honest he just went there for the money. That’s why in my first comment I prefer costa. Cause he won’t have any trouble adapting to the premier league. A combination of poldi, costa, walcott up front. With be great. More importantly costa doesn’t go missing in big games. Nd he seems to be the cheapest of the other options. Actually we wouldn’t be here arguing abt a striker had wenger signed higuian. I remember before the season started. We were close to signing gonzalo higuian.the thing that surprised me was that wenger was willing to pay 40 million for suarez. But he was struggling to a paltry 27 million pounds for higuian in june 2013. Nw higuian is a proven goalscorer. And would have been great for arsenal. Real madrid wanted around 28 million for higuian last june.

Costa is a nightmare for every defender. He has pace,baLl control nd a real eye for goal. Nd he interchanges positions to play on the flanks as well. Which means he can allow poldi to drift in at times.
