VIDEO: Southampton 2-2 Arsenal: Giroud & Cazorla Strike But Gunners Held

By on January 28, 2014

Arsenal were lucky to come away with a point after drawing 2-2 with Southampton on Tuesday  night.

In what can only be described as our worst 45 minutes of the season, we were extremely fortunate to only be 1-0 down at the break after Fonte had headed home at the far post in the 21st minute.

We came flying out the blocks in the second half and levelled through a clever Giroud back-heel before Cazorla fired home from the edge of the area to make it 2-1 just minutes later. However, within 60 seconds we switched off at the back and allowed Lallana to sweep home for 2-2.

Flamini was sent off for a stupid two footed challenge and both sides wasted chances to win it, but it ended 2-2. Watch the goals here:

Lucky Arsenal, the worse display after losing to AstonVilla, but if you can win then don’t lose either. If we continue to play like this we can kiss goodby top title. Today’s game was not about striker but about consistency and disappointing passing’s error and lack of creativity. Let’s hope our rivals lose point as well tomorow but that’s unlikely.
