Wenger Get’s Huge Spending Boost As Arsenal Announce £150m Deal
Arsenal have now officially confirmed a long-term partnership with PUMA to be our new kit manufacturer as of the 1st July 2014.
Many of you will already have heard about the deal but the club have now announced the news on Arsenal.com as well as holding a press conference at the Emirates this afternoon.
The deal is widely reported to be worth £150m over 5 years which makes it the biggest commercial partnership in both Arsenal and PUMA’s history and is the most lucrative kit deal ever by a European club.
It will see PUMA produce all our playing and training kits while they also have the license to develop other Arsenal-branded merchandise all over the world.
Here are some ‘leaked’ images of what our kits might look like next season:

Chief executive Ivan Gazidis told the clubs website:
“We are excited to be partnering with PUMA, a company whose football heritage and record of innovation have a strong affinity with our own. This represents another important step forward in Arsenal’s progression on and off the pitch.”
At the press conference this afternoon, Gazidis also confirmed that the money from the record deal would be available from this summer for the manager to spend.
Ivan Gazidis: "This is a very exciting day for Arsenal Football Club. The money from this deal available to the club from this summer." #afc

The deal works out at £30m per season over five years, but it remains to be seen how much of this will be made available to Arsene Wenger for transfers. Gazidis seems to suggest all of it, but whether the boss chooses to spend it is another question.
It’s an important day for the club as we’ve now taken another big step forward in the commercial side of the business, but fans thoughts will quickly be turning to that Friday night transfer deadline…..

Shalom. This is surely a day of good tidings for lovers of good football. Arsenal ‘ s football philosophy no doubt is the winner here. If football is all about the trophy bought by the highest spende, then it’s good night to talent discovery and development.
