Fabregas ‘Favours Move Back To Arsenal’

By on November 12, 2013

Former Arsenal skipper Cesc Fabregas has once again hinted at his frustration over his role at Barcelona with the Daily Mail claiming he ‘favours a move back to the Emirates’ should he decide to leave.

The midfielder has failed to establish himself as an indispensable member of the Barca first team since making the move back ‘home’ in 2011.

Don’t get me wrong, he’s still considered an important squad player and plays his fair share of games, but the likes of Xavi and Iniesta are still well ahead of him in the pecking order and Fabregas is often left on the bench for the key games.

There were widespread reports in the summer that he was considering a move back to the Premier League, with both Arsenal and Manchester United linked, but Cesc opted to remain at the Nou Camp.

However, there were signs of discontent following his two-goal display against Real Betis on Saturday with Fabregas claiming he knows he’s not in the managers starting team and admitted it ‘messes him up’ when he’s left out the side. He said:

‘Today was time to say that I am here. I know the boss has a starting team in his head, and I am not in it.

‘I played a good game against Celta, and then I was left out for most of the two games [against Espanyol and AC Milan], and that really messes you up. Today I wanted to vindicate myself so that does not happen again.’

Fabregas was the ‘main man’ during his time at Arsenal and was central to our play. He was our captain and would never have been dropped, so it’s understandable that he’ll be frustrated at finding himself on the bench at Barcelona.

I still don’t think he’ll leave in January but he might consider it in the summer or maybe in 2015 if he continues to struggle for regular game-time, and the Mail newspaper – like many of us – feel the only place he’ll go to is Arsenal if he does jump ship.

Do you think Fabregas should leave Barcelona? Would you welcome him back?

It’s a blog, an opinion piece, hence the author of the piece he feels “the only place he’ll go to is Arsenal if he does jump ship”, simple.

I didn’t like his behaviour agitating for a move but he would be too good to pass on or allowed to go to the manure scum. Could be a replacement for Diaby, So yes, in my view he would be welcomed back.

And Arsenal have first option on him if Barca decide to sell him. it was funny to see Moyes chasing him all summer only for Wenger to tell the press he will not leave Barca summer for at least another year- he knew as he is like a father to Cesc.

Yes without a doubt he would be welcomed back to a hero’s welcome. He was the heartbeat of our team, a true leader, model professional. He loves Arsenal and is always talking about us and he calls the Emirates his home. Would love to see him back unlike the two faced scumbag Robin Van Pussy.

No doubt he would be welcomed back to a hero’s welcome but model professional, no. He threatened to go on strike unless he got his move- Fact. Maybe he loves Arsenal, footballers are fickle. While I would love to see him coming back I wouldn’t be surprised to see him playing alongside the Dutch Skunk either. You cannot trust any footballer anymore

I don’t know where he would fit in the current Arsenal team because he can’t play that role in front of the back four and he’s not better then Ozil for him to play just behind the striker. I don’t think he could play on the wing. The focus is a striker and forgetting the past.

Fabregas ‘Favours Move Back To Arsenal’. This is in quotes so it’s meant to mean that Cesc actually said this. but of course, CESC DIDN’T SAY THIS. Nowhere is there a quote from Fabregas saying “above all clubs I’d favour a return to Arsenal.”

You must have been on a creative writing course to come up with this one.

    Waste of space.

enough of all this sentiment. We need a striker and not fabregas. We have enough talent in the midfield.
