Arsene ‘Frantically’ Working On Stunning £70m Deal For Madrid Trio

By on August 30, 2013

Reports today claim that Arsenal are working ‘frantically’ on a trying to complete a stunning £70m triple swoop on Real Madrid for Karim Benzema, Mesut Ozil and Angel Di Maria.

We’ve been linked with all three in recent weeks but it’s been thought up until now that we were only interested in signing one, perhaps two, of the three attackers.

However, the Daily Mail claim that Arsene Wenger wants to blow his entire £70m budget on the trio and is already in talks with Madrid about the triple swoop.

The Spaniard’s are understood to be giving us encouragement that a deal can be reached for the attacking trio as they are desperate to try and raise money to fund their move for Gareth Bale while a late swoop for Luis Suarez has also been mooted.

With Bale costing them upward of £80m and Suarez likely to be in the region of £45-£50m, that’s a lot of money Madrid need to find and it seems we’re ready to hand them our £70m budget to take Benzema, Ozil and Di Maria off their hands.

All three players have insisted they are not looking to leave the Bernabeu but that means nothing if the club wants to sell. If Madrid really do need to raise cash and want to sell all three players, they will be forced out the door. No two ways about it.

The newspaper suggests that Benzema remains the priority but we are working hard to try and bring Ozil and Di Maria to the Emirates as well before the window shuts.

The big problem is Tottenham. They are dragging their heels over selling Gareth Bale to Madrid, with many claiming Chairman Daniel Levy is doing so purposely as he knows we are sniffing around Madrid’s cast offs, and the Spaniard’s won’t sell until they have secured the Welshman’s signature.

So if Spurs refuse to sell Bale until deadline day, it will leave us with little time to complete any proposed deals for Benzema, Di Maria, Ozil….or any other player for that matter.

It’s a hugely risky game that could be a masterstroke if we can pull it off, but failure will be a disaster and leave the club with a thread bare squad until the winter window opens.

It looks like it’s going to be a nail-biting final few days and unfortunately it appears our fate rests in the hands of our rivals up the road. The quicker Bale is a Madrid player, the better.

Do you think Wenger can pull it off? Or has he left it too late.

This whole idea that Tottenham are delaying things to prevent Arsenal from signing Madrid players doesn’t make sense. If Real want to sell players to finance the Bale purchase they need to have time to hash out deals. If Real doesn’t have time to sell players to finance the Bale move, they would presumably pull out of the deal, and then Tottenham would be screwed given they are spending cash like Bale has already been sold.

Pathetic attempt by a small minded little man working for club desperate to come out of the shadows an using every silly tatic available to prevent us from improving our squad.
Just how worried are they down the seven sisters rd that despite all their spending they are still going to finish below us, so worried that they need to play silly buggers with Bales transfer

But Spurs have continually improved their squad over the last few years. Our squad has deteriorated. The reason is Spurs have managed their affairs well – from a lower base. We have mismanaged from a higher one.

What are you talking about spurs continually improving their squad in the last few years, before this window their transfers have been worse than ours at least we bought in podolski cazorla and giroud last year they didn’t strengthen at all. It’s only been this window they have gone mad and we have had our head stuck in the sand!

Thing is that Tottenham have already spent their Bale money. He has to be sold. Obviously they could also sell him to Citeh, Chelski, or Manure if Madrid don’t pony up and pay the price.

I think we should add another £10m on that figure and get casillas too. Then sort out a deal for a versatile defender like alderwiereld and our business will have beaten everyones.

Spurs have sold 25m of squad players and had 60m in the kitty boosted from Modric sale last year.
They have only spent that so far.
Levy wants Bale to stay so if it all falls through its a win. If not he will sell Bale and Buy Lamela at 11pm on deadline day.
You can’t blame him, why would he sell his best asset to a club who will then sell on 3 players to his direct rival?

I don’t think Arsenal will be sanctioned by its rival silly attempt.

Whatever happens Wenger and his men should have a plan B cos it will be suicidal to fail to bring in players considering the injuries to key players and the need for players even before they these injury problem
It so very nice that Chelsea deal with Levy and his gang in the transfer of William.I love what Chelsea did

Let Spurs continue with their dirty tactics. The most important thing which is nothing but the obvious truth is that they will still finish below Arsenal.
