Report: Arsenal Submit £8.5m Bid For French Midfielder
Arsenal have submitted an £8.5m bid for St Etienne midfielder Josuha Guilavogui, according to reports.
We brought you news early on Thursday that suggested Arsene Wenger was considering a move for the 22-year-old if he was unable to agree a deal with Newcastle for Yohan Cabaye.
Our £12m bid for the Geordie playmaker was rejected last week and it’s been reported that Newcastle are demanding £20m for the 27-year-old. It’s highly unlikely Wenger will sanction such a move and it seems he’s now decided to turn his attention to Guilavogui.
The Express are claiming that we’ve lodged an opening £8.5m offer and St Etienne could be willing to do business as they want to raise funds for new arrivals.
The Ligue 1 side have already sold star striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to Borussia Dortmund for £11m but are understood to be in need of a further cash injection, and Guilavogui looks likely to be sacrificed.
The youngster is a proper defensive midfielder who – standing at well over 6 foot and powerfully built – has the stature of Gunner Patrick Vieira. If he has half the talent he’ll be an excellent addition and he is also able to fill-in at centre-back if required.
I don’t know much else about the lad but right now, I’ll take anyone, I’m that desperate for new signings! I’ve always thought we need a powerful ball-winner in midfield and Guilavogui sounds like he could fit the bill nicely, so fingers crossed these reports are accurate and we get a deal done before the window shuts.

wenger is a absolute fool, before the season tickets where on sale we have £100 million to spend, Arsenal fans buy the season tickets, after the bad press we shall make some necessary signings, Flamini on a freebee, prior to this Total 0 not a bean, he and the owners are making a lot of money out of their own fans breaking promise after promise, it will not surprise me at all to see them put the COMPANY up for sale and do a runner, because there is something very dishonest about the whole situation!

The owners/make no money from the club unless they sell their shares an to sell their shares at a profit they need a successful club so there goes yr argument as only a fool would resist the chance to improve a club that they hope to make money from

But why can we not make an improved bid for Cabaye who is more mature with PL experience? I’m really really pissed off with what is happening at our beloved club.

Just some days ago Wenger asserted that the Fans are being brainwashed by the media, and as a confirmation to that we(fans) have began to rest our hope on unreliable source on another FRENCH deja vu.
‘we shall be very active in transfer mkt’….’…there is 18days to go… ‘ ‘..10days to go ,my transfer mkt has just began….’.
These couldn’t be a wiseman words only toddler says such. AVB,Pellegrini,Mounrinho, Benitez etc were EARLY BIRDS in shopping ,while an 8 years sickler in PENURY thought he could wave his haggling wand and buy not 1 not 2 but 3 from real -MAD-rid. Mmmmmmmmmm.

My view is that our shareholder and his cronies, gaz an law are the ones blocking the transfers. This is done in order to build ahugh cash pile to pay shareholders. Cannot go the route of the Graziers, the alternative is dividends. Hence all the money Arsene built for stability will be in vain. How sad. Thats why Lady Nina is regretting the sale of her shares.

I still done understand what wenger and the shareholders wants to turn our beloved AFC into. I think they believe they own the club simply because they own a shares. Well let me tell them without the fans the Club is useless because then they will be force to sell the club not even there shares anymore so let’s wait and watch them.

One thing is to turn the club into a french club, Another thing is to understand that French clubs are not as strong and competitive as the EPL so wenger you better do your mathematics right….!!!

It is unfortunate that Arsenal is still being linked with one player or the other at the 11th hour. For God sake why is this man always going after french players? The champion league group fixture will be a great test of his team ability and capablities.

It’s a big pity Arsene Wenger is making same mistake over & over again. Why wait till d last minute 2 make buys? What calibre & class of players do u think wld b left for sale by then? Only players that wld end up being misfits & flops, players @ d end of d season that will end up being DEADWOODS! Later u start looking for clubs 2 help u out by buying ur DEADWOODS!
Arsene, a word is enuff for the wise!
