It’s All About AdeBanOr, As Always

van Persie hurt

And so the plot thickens… It appears now that the FA will not only be looking to ban Adebayor for both his highly unoriginal celebration and his attempt to blind a former teammate. But F365 are reporting that, “‘Adebayor is expected to receive an instant three-match ban for violent conduct, ruling him out of Sunday’s derby at Manchester United. Last night, the FA said the stamp on Fabregas’s ankle, which came to light yesterday, could result in an additional charge of violent conduct and an even longer ban.'” The Daily Mail has also hinted that he may be charged as well for his kick out at Alex Song earlier in the match.

Can anyone remember a performance by a player so absolutely cuntish from beginning to end than that of Adebayor on Saturday? Are 20 goals a season worth having a player in your team who would act so disgraceful and get himself banned before the biggest derby match his club have had in years? Or a player that went out on the pitch with the intent to injure the opposition’s key players, former teammates, even?

Adebayor’s goal celebration was idiotic and inexcusable for three reasons. One, it wasn’t even his celebration. He stole it from a true Arsenal legend and the player he has always wished he was but could never be. Two, he targeted the away supporters, whom had always been the most supportive of him. Almost all of the booing Adebayor encountered, which was nowhere near as much as he would like everyone to think, was from the home supporters. So he took out his “frustration” on those who had supported him most.

And finally, third, Adebayor’s disgraceful performance yesterday subjected 100s of people both on the pitch and off to physical harm. Along with his attacks on Song, Fabregas, and van Persie, his winding up of the Arsenal supporters set off a near mini-riot in the away end which eventually saw a steward knocked unconscious for five minutes. Without completely excusing the Arsenal supporters for their behavior, Adebayor created a situation where 1000s of fans and dozens of poor stewards were put in immediate harm’s way. The FA must act quickly for EVERY incident in the match.

Unbelievably, here is Adebayor’s response to his actions and a possible ban:

I don’t know what I have done wrong to get banned. I have not heard the police or FA want to talk to me. The club have not said anything. I heard that a steward was injured (when fans threw missiles) and I regret that. I have apologised to Robin van Persie. It was silly to run up in front of the Arsenal fans. But these people have been insulting me all game. I didn’t plan it, not at all. I didn’t even know that I would score. The way things were going from the warm-up, at the end it came into my head.

Wow! This man is delusional and a liar. He doesn’t know what he’s done wrong?!?!?! Even more reprehensibly, Mark Hughes has come out and tried to defend Adebayor’s actions. Where is the slating for him on par with what Arsene received for defending Eduardo? Hughes is defending a player who, beyond doubt, went out on to the pitch with the intent to hurt players and almost put our captain out for 4 months and tried to take the eye out of our top striker.

He’s also lying about apologizing to van Persie as well as not planning the celebration. He says it was “emotion” that led him to do it but give me a break. The cunt ran 90 yards!! It is obvious that he knew before the game that he was going to do that, even if he scored City’s lone goal in a 5-1 defeat. He came on to the pitch intent on taking centerstage and making a spectacle of himself, because it’s all about Adebayor.

Hughes’s behavior is almost as disgraceful as Adebayor’s. He should be coming out with a statement which says he did not condone Adebayor’s actions and that the club will take action as well for Adebayor putting their own stewards in danger. But Hughes doesn’t have the balls or the morality to do that. Instead he tried to make excuses for the inexcusable. Of the celebration, he says, “That’s just what he does.” Oh. Okay, then. Idiot.

If this is how Adebayor reacts to getting booed by a couple of hundred fans, what will happen when he comes to the Emirates and is now TRULY viciously treated by ALL 60,000!?!? Should we expect him to bring a machine gun onto the pitch stuck in his shorts?

It’s just another case of Adebayor putting himself, and his own personal issues, ahead of his own team. He didn’t care if he got banned for the upcoming Manchester derby as long as he settled his own personal score. He doesn’t give a fuck about City and never gave a fuck about Arsenal. If he scores 25 goals this season and City fail to make the Champions League, he will be in the press angling for a move to Milan or Barcelona in the summer. You can take that to the bank.

And the other thing that you can take to the bank will be a quote from him, in the third person, to the effect, “It’s not Adebayor’s fault if bigger clubs want Adebayor to come play for them.” He always gets off to good starts with his clubs and then it all goes south very quickly as City fans will surely soon find out.

Adebayor thought he was treated badly at Arsenal, but he wasn’t treated nearly as badly as he treated his former teammates on the pitch on Saturday. And, without a doubt, not nearly as badly as he will be treated when City come to the Emirates, where he will be treated, in reality, the way he has wanted everyone to believe he has been treated all along.

‘Adebayor is expected to receive an instant three-match ban for violent conduct, ruling him out of Sunday’s derby at Manchester United. Last night, the FA said the stamp on Fabregas’s ankle, which came to light yesterday, could result in an additional charge of violent conduct and an even longer ban.’

The real question is would it even be safe for him to play at the Emirates. That is the kind of ruckus this idiot has created.

I just saw this too, gooner sems. I have to say that I am surprised. Perhaps that’s why UEFA took so long. They were waiting for the furor to die down and cooler heads to prevail. I never thought I’d say this but fair play to UEFA.

Now, the FA needs to ban Adebayor for three games for the van Persie foul, another 2 for the celebration, and another 1 for the challenge on Cesc. The despicable part is that it shows ow horrible the refereeing is in England when a player will end up with at least a 3-match ban for things he did on the pitch but only received a yellow card during the match. What does that say about Clattenburg’s incompetency?

Ban or no ban, Ade has had the last laugh. Unfortunatly we have a bunch of pussies who between them couldn’t make a tackle let alone build up the courage to break the bastards leg!

Ozy, Song made a rough tackle on Ade about a minute after the stomp, and went right in the book. If any of our players had done something similar to what that barbarian did, theyd have immediately seen red and the media would be all over Arsenal as a pack of thugs. This is just another case of one set of rules for Arsenal, one for everyone else.

Besides, hurting Ade doesn’t take back what he did. He did what he set out to do (injure Arsenal players, go after Arsenal fans), but in the process revealed himself to the football world as a classless animal of a player. In the long run, we’ll see if he’s laughing last.

Absolutely right about the double standard. Wenger was vilified for defending Eduardo and Hughes is “standing up” for his player. Adebayor will probably have the last laugh because he will move from City to an even bigger club (not hard to find one). Teams are always willing to take a chance on a productive striker. It’s City fans who will get screwed in the end… and they’ll deserve it. That’s what happens when you buy mercenaries.

ade is making even ashley cole (the man booed by england fans no less) look like a saint.

What is truely dilusional is that he has been quoetd saying he sees no reason why he shouldn’t play the away leg… how about the riots and the bloodshed ade?

He has completely created this situation all by himself. If Hughes had any sense he would not play him at The Emirates. I would expect to hear that place like we’ve never heard it before in April when City come down in their solid-gold jet and bus.

These were two tough matches and if we had lost both 4 months apart it wouldn’t be as big a deal as it SEEMS to be now. With half the team injured and the other half just back from 2 games in four days on international duty, it was just the luck of the scheduling draw. We have a bunch of matches coming up in both the league and CL that should be maximum points and we can get back on track before we play Spurs at the Emirates on Halloween.

By the way, that will be the first-ever Arsenal match shown in HD in America if I am not mistaken.
